12 The Greenway, Duffys Forest has an $8m price guide.

The opulent northside home built by a fourth-generation butcher who established the Black Stump chain of steakhouses is for sale for north of $8m.

The late Robert Parsonage was a serial entrepreneur who ran Parsonage Prime Meats, maintained a KFC franchise and established the Black Stump chain of steakhouses which he ran for more than 35 years.

There were 14 Black Stump restaurants in Sydney, the catchcry was “we’re famous for our steaks” and customers could eat out at the restaurant courtesy of shop-a-dockets.

In the early 1990s Robert, a keen golfer, had the pick of the newly created The Greenway subdivision on the edge of Terrey Hills Country Club on Sydney’s northern beaches and he chose a 2119 sqm block facing the 15th fairway and a lake.
