SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Black entrepreneurs will head to the State Capitol Monday to advocate for funding from lawmakers.

Black Entrepreneurs Day began three years ago when Sheletta Brundidge gathered Minnesota legislators and Black business owners to meet about access to state funds. Brundidge founded “Sheletta Makes Me Laugh,” a podcasting and production company.

She visited KARE 11 News at Noon on Wednesday to share more about Black Entrepreneurs Day and her hopes for business owners to access critical funding.

The day includes a rally, meetings with lawmakers and a lunch.
