SAN ANTONIO — A Bexar County Committee Chairman has been fired after he reportedly called a county commissioner a derogatory name.

Christopher Forbrich, the former chairman of the small minority and women owned business enterprise board, had a lot to say.

Commissioners voted to remove him from his position on Tuesday after Judge Peter Sakai received multiple complaints about a crude name he allegedly called Commissioner Rebeca Clay-Flores.

Forbrich defended himself, arguing his language in that “private conversation” was a form of protected political speech, and revealed he hired a lawyer over claims he did not receive timely notice of Tuesday’s hearing, which Sakai denied.
