HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A federal lawsuit filed Tuesday challenges what the ACLU calls a discriminatory censorship law in Alabama.
The lawsuit was filed by a group of Alabama students and educators from the University of Alabama and UAB.
Their lawsuit claims the law that went into effect in October makes it hard to learn and teach classes or programs related to diverse viewpoints.
Universities statewide closed diversity, equity and inclusion offices last year to comply with the state law
