Arkansas lawmakers defend DEI policies [Video]

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies that grew in the wake of George Floyd’s death in 2020 are being rolled back.

President Trump used an executive order last week to build on a trend spreading in corporate boardrooms. 

Companies such as Walmart and Target have released information surrounding their plans to scale back on their DEI policies.

During Monday’s Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus meeting, senators and representatives asked three Walmart directors about the expected changes.

“It’s the evolution of our diversity, equity and inclusion journey and now the next stage of that journey for us is about belonging and experience, to make sure that individuals, no matter who they are, where they come from, feel like they belong at Walmart, and they have a good experience at Walmart,” one Walmart executive said.
