Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Director Aungela Spurlock announced her plans for retirement on Thursday.
According to her retirement statement, Spurlock will step down from her position on March 1, 2025.
“Over the next couple of weeks, I will continue to work with the team to ensure that OSBI operations remain uninterrupted and the impact of change is minimal,” wrote Spurlock. “While it is my time to transition from my current role, I remain committed to ensuring that distractions do not overshadow the tremendous work that is done by the OSBI team all across our great state.”
Spurlock assumed her position as the Director of OSBI on August 22, 2022 and served as the first female director of the OSBI.
