Grand Island businessman and wife arrested following sexual assault investigation [Video]

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – A Grand Island businessman and his wife have been arrested after an investigation into multiple reports of sexual assault.

On Friday, the Grand Island Police Department received information from four victims of sexual assaults. They said it allegedly happened at TA Latino Check Cashing.

Authorities were at the business speaking to a woman about an unrelated incident when one of the officers there witnessed the owner, 70-year-old Terry Rawlings, come up behind the woman and purposefully touch her behind, which was unwanted by the woman.

The investigation then began and according to the victims, Rawlings had been touching female employees since 2016.

The victims said they were threatened with deportation from Rawlings and his wife, 52-year-old Flora Rawlings, if they spoke.

Terry was arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault of a child, child abuse and four counts of third-degree sexual assault.
