Three major clothing brands to exit Bridge Street Town Centre by January 26 [Video]

The three stores are all operated by one company.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Two months after the closure of a pizzeria and four weeks after a cowboy-themed bar and smokehouse shut down, Bridge Street Town Centre will lose three more tenants. Employees at Chico’s, Soma, and White House Black Market tell FOX54 their stores will close permanently on Jan. 26.

All three are owned by the Florida-based corporation Chico’s FAS, which is held by Sycamore Partners.

The announcement came as a shock to employees, who learned of the closures just days after Christmas.

“Our general manager was informed by our District Manager,” one employee revealed, noting that management had previously been assured their locations would not be affected.

The impact on long-term employees is particularly severe.

“We have ladies who have been here eight years, 11 years, and then my management, my manager now has been here eight years. And there’s no plan B for some people,” one worker told FOX54.
