Anchorage International Film Festival showcases global talent and local voices | Homepage [Video]

It’s been lights, cameras, and action here in Anchorage for the Anchorage International Film Festival. This is the Anchorage International Film Festival’s 24th year, and it features filmmakers from not just Alaska, but from around the world. For a lot of folks, this is a great time to network and meet others in the industry.

“It’s a combination of people just starting their careers, Alaska-made films, Native American-made films, and films that are just crushing it,” shared one of AIFF’s Directors Pat McGee.

This is also a great opportunity to showcase Alaskan filmmakers and see what they can create with the resources available. AIFF’s other director, Adam Linkenhelt, adds, “These filmmakers have found ways to make films in extreme situations when everything was against them. And I think, yeah, showcasing them has been really special.”
