‘It’s our time to bring people in’: Colorado Springs businesses urge buying local as holiday shopping season kicks off [Video]

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Black Friday marks the start of holiday shopping season, and Colorado Springs business owners are hoping shoppers will keep their money in their community.

Cronk Art and Curiosities in Downtown Colorado Springs participated in Black Friday and plan to offer deals on Small Business Saturday, as well.

“We decided that, like, we’re not going to do a difference between Black Friday and Small Business Saturday,” said Chris Dantzler, one of the co-owners of Cronk Art and Curiosities. “It’s our small business time, it’s our time to bring people in.”

Dantzler and Andrew Cronk both said they plan to offer the community the best deals they can to get people in the door, not only for their business’ sake, but also for the sake of the local economy and community as a whole.
