RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – One Veteran-owned facility offers training to provide people with another layer of security, and teach them that safety is not one-size-fits-all.

Spartan Safety & Security offers tailored training to individuals, groups and businesses, so people can feel empowered in unsafe situations.

Spartan teaches First Aid and CPR, offers Permit To Carry Courses and holds Basic Handgun Safety Courses for those just starting.

They also host Refuse To Be A Victim Courses, which teach people to reclaim their power in an unsafe situation.

Krista Young, co-owner of Spartan Safety & Security, says her time in the military inspired her to start the business. She emphasizes the importance of situational awareness and teamwork.
