Eagle Awards encourage minority-owned businesses to spread their wings [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Hundreds gathered today for the announcement of the 2024 winners at the Eagle Awards Luncheon and Ceremony.

This annual event recognized minority-owned businesses in Mobile that exemplify an outstanding impact on the community.

The host of the 2024 Eagle Awards ceremony was Sidney King, President and CEO of Commonwealth National Bank in Mobile.

“Having programs like this to recognize others, and recognize the diversity in our community…it’s going to make this community grow,” he said.

Commonwealth has won multiple Eagle Awards throughout the years, including being the first business inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The next speaker to take the stage was FOX10′s very own Lenise Ligon, mistress of the ceremony.

She’s served as emcee of the event for over a decade.
