A Milwaukee woman is facing multiple charges, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, following a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed 20-year-old Talise Dunmore and seriously injured her sister, 23-year-old De-Lisha Dunmore, on Sept. 22.According to a criminal complaint, 34-year-old Stephanie Sykes was driving a white Acura sedan at a high rate of speed when she struck the two sisters near 76 while they crossed 76th Street and Good Hope Road. Witnesses reported seeing Sykes flee the scene. Milwaukee Fire Department Lt. Jeff Freitag later located Sykes in her damaged vehicle a short distance from the crash site. Freitag said he saw a black female exit the front driver’s seat of the white vehicle and get into the front passenger’s seat of a black vehicle that was parked in front of the white vehicle.
