Reality TV star opens new restaurant in Sturgis [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA)- A popular entrepreneur known for a Discovery Channel and YouTube series and a multi-state restaurant chain has now become a restaurateur in the City of Riders. Fast and Loud’s Richard Rawlings was looking for a place to expand that fit the biker mold.

“One of the things that I looked at was the Black Hills; I come up here all the time. I’m a bike rider, so I wanted to have a place where they can come year-round. That’s the big kicker for Gas Monkey Sturgis. We’re going to be open year-round, we’ve got a full bar, and we want to have a good time. Obviously, kicking it off with the rally is the icing on the cake,” Rawlings said.

Rawlings was looking to add to the pallet of eating options in Sturgis and not just for the Rally.
