Kansas City Democrats weigh in on Bidens endorsement of Harris for President [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – News about President Biden’s decision to end his reelection campaign spread quickly and sent shockwaves through the political world.

Kansas City Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw said her initial reaction was disappointment. After letting the news sink in Parks-Shaw says she now believes having Kamala Harris leading the ticket will energize voters.

Parks-Shaw said having Kamala Harris as the nominee, and hopefully the next President of the United States, would make the country’s government more inclusive.

She believes that Harris represents transformative leadership that would unite and inspire Americans. Parks-Shaw also believes Harris is the right candidate for the job.
