Editor’s Note: Video features previous coverage of house fire. A High Point 911 telecommunicator is charged with arson after her home was destroyed in a fire earlier this week in Thomasville. Police said Theresa Allison Varner, 39, is charged with two counts of first-degree arson, second-degree arson, felonious burning of personal property, and two counts of felonious cruelty to animals.The Thomasville Fire and Police Departments began an investigation after a fire broke out at the home Wednesday morning just before 6:30 a.m. A neighbor originally saw smoke from the home on Grace Drive in Thomasville and called for help. The family’s dog and cat died as a result of the fire. The home was also destroyed. Fire investigators said two neighboring homes also sustained fire damage as a result.
