2nd annual PrideFest held in downtown Loogootee | News [Video]

LOOGOOTEE, Ind. (WTHI) – Rainbow flags and banners filled the streets in downtown Loogootee on Saturday.

It was all for the 2nd annual PrideFest. Dozens of people packed downtown for entertainment and vendors around the fountain.

The goal was to celebrate diversity and inclusion. People in the LGBTQ community wanted a chance to show their uniqueness.

It’s something they want others to see so they don’t feel alone.

“This town really banded together and created a beautiful atmosphere for us. It was so amazing to be able to perform here,” one attendee told News 10. “I just can’t get over the love and acceptance we felt as soon as we walked in.”

People also enjoyed face painting, bubble making, friendship bracelet making and a bounce house.
