Suspect arrested in deadly shooting outside Lowell Hindu temple [Video]

A New Hampshire man is expected to appear in court Wednesday on charges stemming from a shooting early Saturday morning that killed one person and injured two others outside a Hindu temple in Lowell, Massachusetts. Paul Garcia, 38, of Dover, was arrested Tuesday in Lawrence, according to a statement issued by Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office. He faces charges of murder, armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by discharge of a firearm, assault, and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Lowell police were called to the parking lot of the Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Temple on Middlesex Street in Lowell at approximately 4:53 a.m. on Saturday.
