Review site ranked this Mass. suburb No. 1 in the state. Heres why. [Video]

Niche, a review and ranking site that “is focused on changing the way people choose their education,” ranked Brookline the best Massachusetts suburb to live in, giving the town an A+ grade.

The grading scale is based on education in the area, overall crime and safety, housing prices, nightlife, diversity, job opportunities and other aspects of living. Grades are assessed through feedback data and user opinions in the area.

While a suburb of Boston, Brookline “offers residents an urban feel” to the community with plenty of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and parks to choose from, according to a Niche report.

Brookline has been described as a “great neighborhood” that’s “warm and cozy with plenty to do” according to current resident reviews on the site. One resident said that while the area can be “quite pricey,” Brookline is “incredibly safe, clean, quiet, and close to the main city of Boston.”
