Northeast Wisconsin makes final rush for fireworks at local businesses before the Fourth of July [Video]

HOWARD, Wis. (WFRV) – The Fourth of July is near, and area residents are stopping by fireworks stores to make their purchases, including Uncle Sam Fireworks in Howard.

“Every year, we stop here and stock up on fireworks,” said Jeremy Sodam.

Some focus on the sound the fireworks make, while others are looking for a quieter display.

The latter is the case for Ryan Kamin, who stopped by American Tradition Fireworks in Sobieski.

“We have a lot of kids coming to our party,” said Kamin. “We’re trying to do things that are more sparkly and colorful. Less of the bangs, less of the pops. Trying to keep them from running away screaming, hopefully.”

But before lighting off those fireworks, fire officials are urging caution.

“The safest thing is, in general, don’t let kids work with the fireworks. Don’t …
