Louisiana priest accused of sex crimes to be extradited to Texas [Video]

A former Louisiana priest who has been credibly accused of sex crimes in several states will be extradited to Texas soon. Anthony Odiong, 55, who was a priest in Luling from 2015 to 2023, is accused of sexual assault and, most recently, possession of child pornography, according to a news release issued by the Waco Police Department.Odiong was arrested on Tuesday in Ave Maria, Florida.Odiong was in court Wednesday morning in Florida, where he waived his rights to extradition and was denied bond, according to WBBH. It is unclear when he will be extradited back to Texas. Waco police say they were made aware of a sexual assault that happened in 2013 involving Odiong.
