CHICO, Calif. – Aspiring educators went to Chico State on Tuesday to check out the Future Teacher Expo.
The event gave people the opportunity to connect with professionals in the industries stationed at information tables.
“By having these events, it allows students to gain more in-depth access to the resources available and allows us to connect better with students,” Grants Specialist with the College of Communication and Education, Lexi Kornblum, said.
Chico State said one of its main focuses is to promote diversity and support underrepresented minority groups in educational programs at the K–12 level.
“We are also here to provide adequate resources and support. So you can go into the teaching profession confident and really a high quality trained educator,” Grants Specialist with the College of Communication and Education, Cheryl Ordorica, said.
