VERONA, Wis. (WMTV) – The biggest weekend of golf in the Madison area is taking place at University Ridge Golf Course Friday through Sunday.
The American Family Insurance Championship Tournament starts on Friday with the opening ceremony and first tee at 8:20 a.m.
The American Family Insurance Championship was created in 2016 by American Family Insurance, PGA TOUR Champions and PGA TOUR player and Wisconsin native Steve Stricker. Since its inception, the championship and associated events have raised over $17 million for the American Family Children’s Hospital and other charities.
This year’s AmFam Championship concert will be headlined by Train, with opener Kingfish held at Breese Stevens Field in Madison. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
AmFam Championship day two will continue on Saturday, with the Celebrity foursome hosted by Andy North.
