Ace Flagg reacts to playing AAU for Brian Scalabrine, college recruitment process | Bangor Local Sports [Video]

VEAZIE – Newport native Ace Flagg is gearing up for his senior high school season, and has had a pretty busy summer ahead of it.

Recently, Flagg committed to playing with Greensboro Day School for the upcoming high school season, transferring from Montverde Academy.

This summer, Ace Flagg and fellow Maine United guard Kaden Bedard have been playing with Team White Mamba, coached by former Celtic Brian Scalabrine. ‘Scal’ has trained with Ace and his brother, Cooper, for several years and also has hosted camps in Veazie and Ellsworth. Flagg says the unique style of coaching has helped his development.

“His training style, he kind of ‘shows’ in how he coaches. It’s not sit down and play. He kind of gives us the template to go off of and then tells us to go out, do what we can,” Flagg says. “He knows what we’re capable of and he puts us in …
